There is so much creativity in our world that is forever dynamic from artistry to advertising, it sparks our attention on a daily basis. One of our most recent projects involved scanning of photo-realistic drawings by Jono Dry, titled The Eye. Jono is a South African artist born in Pretoria and raised in Hermanus, one of the most beautiful seaside villages in the world. He taught himself to apply his talent on a large scale concept using graphite paper or board to illustrate on.
Seeing something so beautiful on paper is definitely believing in peoples talent. Jono’s portfolio ranges from drawings of the human form to nature that surrounds us. This contemporary form of art using pencil is surreal to our senses. Keep an eye out for this growing artist and take a look at more of his creativity on his Facebook Page. Jono has been drawing one eye every year since he started his carreer, this is his 6th case study. We adore the extremity of reality in his drawings. His 6th eye is a tribute to sacred geometry.
Here are some other great pencil amusements by Jono Dry, a few of our favourites.
